REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OUTLINES & QUALIFICATION (RFPQ) HAMILTON-STERRETT DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

This RFPQ seeks preliminary development proposals for the redevelopment of Homewood’s Hamilton Avenue area, focusing on housing, sustainable growth, ecological integration, and long-term community benefit.

This is the first of many steps necessary before redevelopment can begin and additional information submissions containing many more details will be required.

Interested parties could include large and small real estate developers, contractors, community organizations and even residents who have the capacity to take on one or more parcels in the redevelopment area. All are encouraged to submit a response to this RFPQ.

This RFPQ aims to revitalize portions of Hamilton Avenue and nearby areas while maintaining community values, architectural integrity, and ecological sustainability. We look forward to working with visionary developers, contractors and community members to bring this project to life. The RFPQ is intended to identify experienced individuals and entities and invite preliminary proposals that shall include draft design concepts and development plans for one or more of the 81 parcels within the redevelopment area. HCDC and Homewood Rising Tide Partners will accept proposals for these sites in accordance with this document. They will review each development submission received in order to select developers, contractors and community members best suited, based on the objectives of this request and the existing Homewood Community Comprehensive plan with the adoption of the Cluster Plan for land use.
